2023 LensCulture Critics‘ Choice

 

 “LensCulture” is a contemporary photography network and magazine based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and contests with different themes are held several times a year. Many of the judges are involved in the art industry, and it is considered a worldwide authority in fine art photography contests.

“Critics’ Choice” is a contest in which 20 judges each choose three works, and my work was selected by Darius Himes, international head of photography at the auction house “Christie’s.”

[Hiroike Award Summary]

  • It was a contest in which 20 judges each selected three works, and it was selected by Darius Himes, international director of photography at auction house “Christie’s.”
  • There has been no announcement regarding the number of applicants, but since you can apply for one ticket for free, it seems that there were a fair number of applications.

 “LensCulture”はオランダのアムステルダムを拠点とする現代写真のネットワーク＆マガジンで、年に数回のテーマの異なるコンテストが行われています。アート業界に関わりのある審査員が多く、ファインアート系の写真コンテストでは世界的に権威とされています。

“Critics‘ Choice”は20人の審査員がそれぞれ3作品を選ぶコンテストで、私の作品はオークションハウス“Christie’s”の写真国際責任者であるDarius Himes氏に選出されました。

  • 応募者数等の発表は無いが、無料で１枚応募できるのでそれなりの数の応募があったと思われる
